Mount Muhabura is an extinct volcano in the virunga mountains on the border between Rwanda and Uganda. At 4,127 meters above the sea level, Muhavura is the third highest of the eight major mountains of the mountain range, which is a part of the Albertain Rift valley.

DAY 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport and Transfer to Kisoro.
We recommend you to arrive in the morning hours. Meet our guide who will welcome you to the Pearl of Africa and transfer you to Kisoro as you enjoy the snake like roads of kabale-kisoro which have magnificent views of highlands, lakes and Mountains. later check into your hotel.
DAY 2: Encounter the Batwa Culture Trail Experience.
On this day you drive to Mgahinga gorilla national park experiencing the beautiful Batwa culture. The Batwa culture trail in the park grants you an opportunity of learning about their unique cultural heritage as the forest indigenous inhabitants. The Batwa Elders will accompany you and share amazing stories about their culture and lifestyle while they lived in the forest – they will demonstrate their hunting skills. They will share with you how they survived co-existing with the animals in this forest before it was taken over by the cultivators and later gazetted to be a national park. The highlight of this experience is the Ngarama cave and traditional music and dance.
DAY 3. Hiking Mount Muhabura.
You will have an early breakfast and later drive to the park headquarters. Here you will be briefed by the park ranger who will provide you armed rangers for your safety to escort you and support you during the hike. You will hike through different types of vegetation and the lower slopes are rich with forest birds and the marshes near the summit are a home to the bushbuck, forest elephants and elusive duiker. Hiking to the top of the mountain provides the best scenery of Kisoro town and the Crater Lake which is believed to be having its outlet on the bottom of the mountain. The activity takes one day.
DAY 4. Departure to Rwanda International Airport.
Wake up Early in the morning, have your breakfast as your guide will be waiting to drive you to the airport. We recommend you to book your flights in Rwanda though its not a must to take flights in Rwanda.
